What ages do you care for?
We
offer care for children 6 weeks to 6 years old. The children are able to stay with the same teachers and environment for 5-6
years.
Do you have any animals?
Our first home has two small dogs that are Hypoallergenic they are Bichon Frise's. The first home also
has a cat that is never in daycare or home space. The children also care for two guinea pigs that they feed, water and touch.
The second home will have a class pet too.
What meals do you provide?
Good nutrition
is important. We provide your child with a nutritious breakfast, lunch and snacks. We serve natural healthy foods and limit
processed food. Please let we know if your child has any food allergies. We follow the USDA food program regulations.
How do you discipline? Children are usually fine when
a dispute arises if they are guided in different directions or shown other toys to play with. We observe the situation and
see if they can resolve it first. They sometimes will be given a break if the behavior is hurtful to someone else. This gives
them time to regain themselves and plan a change in their actions and apologize to the person he/she hurt. Not at anytime
can we ever be asked to do any form of corporal punishment
Do you watch
TV?
We do not feel that it is appropriate for young children to watch TV, play Video Games, or be on the computer.
We feel that their time here should be spent building their minds, using their imaginations, & exploring the world around
them.
How many teachers
per child?
Our teacher/child ratio is very low. Usually 1 teacher to 4 to 5 children. Depending on the children’s
age.
